Shmeysiya, also called Shmeyshiya, is a small village in the countryside of the town Dahmani within the Tunisian governorate of el Kef. As the place provides both, arable land and the access to water sources, locals mainly work in husbandry. While people grow fruits like melons, various kinds of vegetables and herbs, their livestock encompasses amongst others, goats, sheep and chickens. Thus, people usually produce most of their groceries by themselves.
